We distributed over 10,000 toys and books to 2000+ kids in the North Garland community.

We used our warehouse to store over 10,000 toys and books that were donated by SERVPRO North Garland, SERVPRO Park Cities and several other local businesses and families. On the Saturday before Christmas, we had a festive time helping the police officers sort the toys and books that provided over 2100 kids a lovely surprise for Christmas morning.

This is the 2nd year we've participated and it was a tremendous success with hundreds of people visiting our parking lot for donuts and coffee and to meet the local police. The department also awarded us a Citizens Certificate of Merit "for exemplary conduct and excellence in perfomance of civic responsibilities as well as unselfish devotion to the Garland community." We were honored to receive this accolade, but we were more honored to make a difference for the kids near us.

SERVPRO teams working together to handle widespread damage from ice and snow in North Garland.

Our team at SERVPRO of North Garland has been working around the clock, answering calls and working toward appointments for thousands of customers across DFW. 

One of the great things about SERVPRO as a company is the support we receive from headquarters when things are overwhelming. As of last Sunday, our corporate office activated the SERVPRO Storm Response - which is when unaffected franchises send staff and equipment to help in markets that need additional support. 

To date, we've had over 50 franchises outside of DFW join forces with the local franchises to expand our combined abilities to help people in our communities.

SERVPRO of North Garland getting involved in a local Golf Tournament.

This past Friday on 9/20/2019 SERVPRO of North Garland, as well as many other local businesses, participated in the 35th Annual Garland Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. The team had the opportunity to set up a tent, where we hosted games, and had giveaways which the players won by entering a raffle. The SERVPRO team networked with many of the two hundred and six players that competed in the tournament that day and we even entered a team with four of our own members.

The impact the tournament had on our community outreach was significant as it connected us to many other businesses as well as their employees. Many of the players who visited the SERVPRO of North Garland tent really enjoyed the snacks and refreshments that we offered with us hearing many times how we were their favorite stop of the day. The day ended with four happy raffle winners who took home golf themed gift baskets that were given away at the award ceremony. Many SERVPRO crews flocked to North Carolina following Hurricane Florence to assist with the cleanup, including our own SERVPRO of North Garland professionals.
